just watched ‘The Rules of Attraction’ for the first time. it was really cool, but strange at the same time and i can’t tell if i liked it or not? like, normally i’m a fan of an ambiguous narrative, but only when it’s the result of creative screenplay, rather than poor filmmaking!
so today i made up for not running last night by going to my first ever class of bikram yoga, and omg it was intense! actually, intense is probably the understatement of the century. i literally think that it’s one of the hardest things (physically and also mentally) that i’ve ever done in me entire life! i seriously thought i was quite fit and flexible until tonight’s class haha. never the less, it was a really enjoyable experience and i can already feel the bennifits! for those of y’all who have never tried it, but want to give it a go, i’d definitely recommend it, but please head my warning that it is fucking hard!! i threw up in my mouth a little bit several times during the class, probably sweated out a good litre of water and collapsed completely on more than one occasion. on that positive note, i plan to go again tomorrow and hopefully i’ll be a little more prepared for the intensity of it!
anyway, when i got home i was still feeling so refreshed and empowered from the class that i decided to go for a quick power walk, which then turned into a lap of my ‘standard’ 4km route. Somehow, this made me feel even better than i already was feeling, and i’ve been overcome by positivity and endorphins since i got home. i just feel like i’m really taking control of my life for the first time now, and i’m absolutely kicking ass!
i really don’t like being weak and overly personal, but i’m really starting to tire of people lying, judging and disrespecting me. please stop, there is really only so much even the strongest of us can take.
ok so I’ve decided that as well as eating really healthily, I’m going to really try to start exercising more and get into shape for France!! I went for my first run in a long, long time yesterday- and while I didn’t have that much time I was actually impressed by the distance I covered and my consistent speed (thanks Nike+). Anyway so yeah, this will be my starting off point and I’m going to try to improve this time every day now!! I’m feeling so seriously motivated right now :)
